Title: Steering shaft extension for
Post by: bandit86 on October 25, 2003, 06:40:39 AM
I put a 3inch body lift in my sunrunner.  It appears my steering shaft now is too short.. could be just seized.  How do yuo guys compensate for that?

some side/trackers have a slip in the middle of the shaft.  I don't know anything about Sunrunners.   mine didn't.  I cut it at the middle and used a long socket to fill the gap.  works great.  lata stu

FYI a Sunrunner was a Canadian only version sold through Pontiac dealers. It was a higher trim level than the Tracker, similar to the Sidekick JLX.

yes I noticed, I have power windows and doorlocks, and power steering.  looking at it, I could probably use a regular shaft from a no ps car.
