Hi all,
I hope introduction posts are not against forum rules, I looked. I am Joe from South Central Kentucky, and have owned a 96 Tracker 4x4 Automatic for about 6 months that we originally got for my wife. She got tired of it and went back to her van and when my other car died I adopted the tracker. Needless to say its fun and a blast.
Anyway....enough of the newbie post....

LOL....I've been in car mods since I got my liscense (I'm 31) so I know all about the light wallet mods. As far as my plans, since the Track is my daily driver, I'm looking at some basics to get a little more power. I've been lurking here for some time, and I have seen a thread about someone who make a CAI, so I plan to go that route and make it where I can change it to short ram in wet weather and possible offroad. I'm also looking at some bigger tires (of course!) but right now I can't afford any serious lift, so I'll have to research some reasonable tire sizes.
As far as a pic, I'll try to get one, my digi camera was stolen a while back. but its basically a black track with the beige graphics on the sides. Real clean, just wish it was a 5 speed, that 3 speed auto makes my daily commute to work on the interstate a high rpm experience.
Thanks for the welcome! Joe

Just throw some 31's on there (once you get it lifted, you're SOL until then). That drops me down to about 3500 to 4000 depending on how fast everyone's going. 4000 is about 70 or 75MPH so it definitely beats the itty bitty 205/75's that were originally on it. I was pushing about 4500+ with those just keeping up with traffic. I still wish I had a 5 speed though for the daily driving.

hey i'm broke as F*#K, and i still have 34's on my Tracker. Buy a 3in. body lift and cut the floor. You could probley put 31's or 32's that way. And if you think you have no power with the bigger rubbers then get some gears out of an 5-speed Tracker. your stock ones are 4.?? and the 5-speeds are 5.12's. O ya and when you have the rear out you might as well buy a mini spool or weld the spider gears. Lata Stu

Hey big,
You have 34's on yours? What type are they?

TSL Swampers.  They are 9.50 inches wide and if you do some mods to the front end and with the right backspaced wheels you can turn lock to lock. but we got some new plans tinite so they won't be thair in the spring.   ;D ;D ;D
