Ok, so we extended the wheelbase and are trying out a set of 33's. We're unsure at this point though, if they are going to fit at all without some rubbing somewhere. Here's a pic :o:

We may be actually going to 32x11.50's though, to keep it a little easier on us. Whatchoo guys think? I am thinking about Goodyear MT/R's, BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, or sticking with my Les Schwab RVT's.
Here's a page with the wheelbase extension and some other info too:

hows the fitment on the front end can you turn on some compression or does it rub? might try a setup a like you (gotta have those 33's dont we ;))
-
Heather,
Looks good. I'm not sure how the fit will be on the 4 door, but I love my 33's on my two door. I'm running BFG MT's but plan on buying some MTR's soon. If you have about the same clearance as the two doors you should be able to make them work with some trimming :o

As far as tire choice goes, that's pretty personal but I have to tell you I'm digging my MT/R Goodyears. I have been a Swamper (The official Oregon State Tire :) ) nut for years and the MT/R's blow them away in every aspect with one exception of gooey mud where they are a little less than par with the Swamper but I'm more than happy to make that sacrafice for all the other advantages, (ride, rocks, water, noise, dirt, gravel, etc...)

Well on flat ground I can turn them all the way without rubbing. I know that on dips if I am turned, I rub on the rear inner fender. I will have to take it out today and flex it up, and bring with me a BFH and a grinder. Then we will see :).

Probably has been asked 8 million times, but where'd ya get the fender flares?
Looks good though definitely with the 33's.
-
If your rubbing the inner fender in the rear you may want to look at rims with a different offset or spacers for the ones you have. I'm running 15x10's with 4" of back spacing and my 33x12.50's barely touch at full compression (with a Calmini 3" suspension and 3" body lify)

JC Whitney 2 1/4 inch "surface mount" fender flares... cheap, and work well..

Well..
I think I may just go with 32x11.50's. Little more breathing room. Now the question just becomes:
Goodyear MTR's
BF Goodrich MT/KM's
Replacing current Les Schwab RVT Tractions (here's some pics)

or some other brand I can get locally like Firestone or Big O.
Any preferences? It kind of sounded like you guys like your Goodyears.

I haven't figered out y u guys(girls) are haveing such a problem. I have 34/9.50 swampers and my tracker and i only have a 3in body lift. I did remove the floors and put them about 6-8in back but that was a weekend project. I can turn lock to lock on my steering becouse my rims. the rear is cut right up to the top of the wheel well, but it still kinda rubs all over the place. I want to put the Ford 9in in the rear and run the stock rims. I'm waitin to finsh my car before i poor anymore cash into the tracker. I was thinkin about the 2in calmini set up. what do u guys think? lata Stu

O ya and i have only seen one set of MTR's on the trail and i wasn't impressed.  like some one said earyer, THEY SUCK IN MUD.  sorry for screaming but i had to get my point across.  I think i will stick with my Swampers thank u.  lol  lata Stu

I have seen erics mtr's in action and they seemed to work great. Alot of guys are switching to mtr's around here it seems. They may not work quite as well in the deep mud , but for an all round tire they are a great choice.
-
We were thinking about moving the floor boards back, and we might do that this weekend yet. If we don't, I will probably just put 32's on it.
I think I am going to just replace my RVTs, because I can buy a set of RVTs and the Calmini winch bumper and it will cost me almost the same as buying some MTRs. :o

Les Schwab mud tires are loud and really suck the fuel. I replaced a set of 31" Schwab muders with some 33" Yokohama mudders and got 2mpg better on my Cherokee, plus reduced noise and better handling on and off road.
I had a Dodge truck that destroyed tires and Goodyear gave me a complete set of replacements at 10k miles just to help me trouble shoot the truck.
I have never been happy with Schwab tires and have always been happy with Goodyear tires and customer service.

My fenders aren't just the problem. My fenders are already cut somewhat, and they aren't really in the way. I trial fitted some used 33's, and the tires rub on the floorboards.
Too bad about your 4 Door BTW. I really like lifted 4 Doors. :'(

I wouldn't even think about tradeing my 2 door convo. for a 4 door hard top. just don't think i could do some of the things i do with the 2 door with the 4 door.
-
hee hee hee.......I hear its easier to launch a 2 door in the air.........or at least that is the rumor around mike hagen's neck of the woods ;D
-
Woohoo I got some! I got the Les Schwab RVT traction 33's. (BTW I have never had ANYTHING but good service from my Shwabbies!)
I ALSO ordered a Calmini front winch bumper that will be here friday!

BFH ;D + Muscle >:( + Torch :) + Fire extinguisher :o + Welder ;) = ample room for 33's 8).
I'll have to say it looks good. The 33s fill out the wheel wells nicely compared to the 31s.
Look out for broken drivetrain components to follow *cross fingers*
(I'm sure she'll have photos of the finished produce available soon)
