Title: Wheel Spacer probs ANYONE HELP
Post by: JDMCRX on May 07, 2005, 06:35:30 AM
Hey guys here is the situation

I got a 2001 Grand vitra and im putting the rims off my sidekick on to the gv but i need to get a 1" wheel spacer from ROCKY-ROAD i put them one temp and everything clears.

Here is the problem the center of the wheel spacer is too small by like 2-3mm i guess to center the wheel on the truck. Now the Sidekick has no lip and when u put the spacer on it it i uses the Lug nuts to center the spacer and wheel.

Im thinking of taking a grinder and just grinding the lip out of it and let the lug nuts center the spacer on the truck anyone im sooo stuck.

JOSH

I can't see any problems with grinding it though a quick spin in a lathe would be preferable.

Thats how they center on the samurai (lug nuts)just make sure things are real clean and use blue loc-tight or green and torque to at least 55 lbs and let it set up for a day or more.
