When I have my gas cap tight fuel leaks out of the canister in the engine bay. I loosened the cap and it quit. But now going down hill on the trails gas still comes out of the canister and the engine loads up. Once I get on flat or uphill I can clear out the motor and it runs good but go back downhill and I get the problem. Anyone had this kind of problem?
Thanks,
Bill

The canister is for gasoline vapor, and the vacuum
from the engine is supposed to purge the vapors
and burn them, you have a line out of place OR
somehow gas is getting into the vapor vent line.
Have you done work on the gas tank or fuel system?
Done the tank lift and got the lines on wrong?
You didn't say what zuke you got Sammy or
Kick and EFI or carb, this would help to figure
out what's going on.
ON the top of my EFI kick tank I got some
funky lines and a little plastic mini tank of
sorts, my only clue as to what this is for is
to seperate vapor from liquid and return it
(liquid) to the tank, maybe your return to
tank is plugged and forcing liquid up to the
canister. Just a guess.

Ive got a 93 Tracker with EFI. I did do the gas tank lift and disconnected 2 of the rubber hoses that connected to the steel lines on the frame rail so maybe I got those mixed up. Yeah , I dont know what that little plastic tank is but its not hitting anything.
Thanks for the replies guys,
Bill
