??? ??? Hi, I'm new here. I recently picked up a couple of Trackers from a buddy that has an impound lot. Got them cheap I think..... Anyway when I turn the key to the run position a relay down by the fuse box is constantly clicking in and out. As long as it does this it wont start. Seems like no fuel. If I squirt it with some starting fluid it fires right up. Once in a while I can turn the key on and off a few times and the relay will quit clicking, then it will start. Most of the time the relay won't quit clicking though. When its running it runs fine. I have tried new relays ..... I'm lost ..... dont know where to look next. Has anyone ever seen this before???? I would be greatful for any help on this matter. Thanx TinMan...........

Off hand i would say that the clicking noise is the fuel pump relay, the computers or ecm on those had a bad batch of parts in them that leaked acid onto the board inside and would eat up the traces and make a general mess out of the whole thing. try swaping ecm's if it is the same as the other one, stick-stick 1993-1993 ect.there are part numbers on the ecm and you can get a book and run the codes off of the engine check light by jumping the plug next to the battery, like b to c with a paper clip. have fun!

Hey thanks, I'll try the codes again, I could'nt seem to get last time I tried. My ecm's are different, ones a stick and ones auto. I did'nt want to waste $150 on a new ecm unless I could be sure that was the problem. My other one has the same similar problem. It won't run at all. It starts on fluid and then quits when its gone. It's like no gas. But with the key on you can here the pump continuosly running in the tank and if you squeez the fuel line at the regulator you can here it restrict the fuel flow. It's like it won't stop at the injector to build pressure. Again thanks and i'll try those codes one more time. TinMan..............

How long has it been sitting? the injectors do clog up but you should be able to have them cleaned, cheaper if you take them out. new ones from suzuki or g.m. for the 16 valve i heard are about 495.00 each! not sure which one you have.
