Title: Calmini Customer Appreciation Run.
Post by: ebewley on July 29, 2003, 01:46:24 AM
Hey All,

Just got word from Steve that I had the wrong dates listed for his run. The correct dates are September 12-14th. This is for the Rubicon trail. Steve provides dinner Saturday night. So, head on down to Sunny California and let Steve and the staff of Calmini appreciate you!

Who's in? Who needs more info? More specific details will be arriving soon....

-Eric

Hey, I'll chip in to get you out here again.... Since you drive your tracker to all the events, it'll only cost about a buck-fifdy to get out here right? :)

What is the closest town to the Rubicon ??? I was going to see how bad of a drive it would be :o. Not that I'll be able to take a week off work but maybe for next year. :P Any one going to have an empty seat, I could possibly fly out and bum a ride with someone :-/

That would be Georgetown my friend, but trust me you don't want to stay there.  I'd stay in Pollock Pines, it has much nicer hotels and is only about 40 minuits from the con.  It is also where I live so trust my judgement.

Thanks!!! :)

I didn't want to know, so I could be a wus and stay in a hotel :P. Camping out in the middle of nowhere is half the fun of wheeling :) I wanted to know so I could check on flights in Cali. ;)

As far as for flights, check to fly into Sacremento. That is the 'big city' :) about 50 miles east of the trail.

Sweeeeett ;D South West frequently has CHEEP tickets form Nashville to Sacremento. Now all I need is a couple of days off work, an empty seat in someones ride, lots of video tape and some one that will pick me up and drop me off at the Air Port :-/ Hey, I can hope, can't I.

Hey Mike, pick me up at the Air Port after drivimg 3400 miles and I'll pitch in another buck fifty with Erics.

My wife has given me the OK so I am putting some serious consideration into coming down for this, I am about two hours north of Seattle (Vancouver Island). How far from Seattle to the location.

I'm waiting for my next South West e-mail to see if they have it on the dirt cheep fairs. Are you going to be there to pick me up ???

Does any one know if Steve and the crew will go through there to get to the trail ??? Maybe I could mooch a ride from them :-/

The V-Max and the Quad are history as of this afternoon, so if I can get time off work and a decent price on a ticket, and a ride and a seat :-/ damn I've got alot of ands. :P
