I have some pics of mine. I built it from scratch. Never built one for a kick tho. Altho it should be fairly easy.

What did you use to bend the tubing? Did you use DOM tubing of something else. Thinking of buying a tubing bender but need some reason to justify the $.
Thanks.
BTW Eric won't like the izook link. I found that out the hard way, oh well :-[

I had mine built due to my very limited welding ability.
If you build your own or have someond custom build one, be sure that you (or they) know how to build one and can weld VERY good. After seeing a member of my former 4x4 club roll, and on the second time on the roof a sperader bar's weld broke, sending the end of the bar completely through his wifes belly, I'll never have any one but a pro weld on my vehicle again. If we did not have an ER surgon on the ride, and a place to land the helicopter, she would of died that day.
If you ride extreme dont skimp on a cage, it could kill somebody!!!!!!!!

I haven't done this yet but one of my friends said to buy a cage kit for a car out of JEGS and mod it to fit the Tracker. He said all the cutting and notching would be vary laboring, and he sould know. he has built 3 mud drag trucks and 2 street drag cars.

I used a ez tube bender from toolsplus1.com. It came with four dies and a follow bar. It will easily bend DOM. Altho my cage is built from ERW 1.75" .120 wall tubing.
As for the izook link, I didnt know suzuki bbs were in competition with each other. I subscribe to all suzuki lists.

I USED THE CAGE FROM CALMINI.ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIT,NOTCH AND WELD.NO BENDING
NEEDED.

Will the calmini kit fit in a 4dr or 2dr only?

Only a 2dr. The bars running foward would be too short.
The rollbar only and rear down tubes would fit (4pt kit)
I thought about getting one and extendung it alittle to fit my 4dr.
But then the seats won't recline :-\

A friend of mine builds rollcages for drag cars. The main thing is it is not for looks, it is for safety, you want to make sure it will work when you need it...which I hope doesn't happen.

So true my friend.
If you take the headliner out of a 4dr.
There is only one roof cross bar and that just holds the dome light up.
I had a Race shop want to build me a custom Rollcage for the 2dr.
It was going to be an all out RollCage.
6 point adn lots of crossbracing.
Probley wieght 200lbs and cost a $1,000 bucks.
Cross bracing is the Key to strength.
But it would hold up in a 200mph crash.
Wish I could get it over 90mph (downhill of course)
Not that I would ever speed.

I once drove a Track/Kick/Vit that had an internal cage. If you're tall make sure its well padded, there isn't a lot of space around your head when you get the cage in there.
bump, ouch, bump, ouch etc......... ::)

Hotrod, did you build that cage yourself? Looks great.

giving vcredit where credit is due.
Nope, thats the Calmini one.
A race shop said it would be cheaper to buy theirs(Calmini) to get all the right bends.
Saves a lot in labor.
Then find a luckie person to weld it in.
Took 4 hours ;) ;D
-
I was thinking about the same thing sort of. Buy the calmini kit and then just modify it for the 4dr. My buddy has a bender and I have a welder. I guess I could just custom build the whole thing but I thought it might save a little time if I started with their kit.
