ZUKS ON THE ROCK 2005[/b]

Where: Vancouver Island BC Canada
(we're northwest of Seattle. You have to take a ferry to get to us)

When: Oct 14-16 05

Vehicle Requirements: Suzuki with locked front & rear and working winch

We've nailed a date for the 3rd Annual Zuks On The Rock.  We don't have much else confirmed for details, but wanted to get it out to you folks so you had some notice.

We do know that there will be some awesome new trails, as our guys here have been exploring and building like mad.  We also know we'll be limiting the numbers to 30 trucks.  There will be a nominal fee which will get you a sticker and there might be additional fees for camping, unless we get access to a wilderness camping spot.

I promise to keep you informed when the details develope as well as when the registration date approaches.  For now, book the time off and get your truck ready!!

This is the closest picture I could find of his front setup.  However, this was back in April and he's done some pretty impressive mods since then.

The $10 fee is applicable to support trucks as well as to wheelers and will get you a sticker.  We're camping at a provincial campground this year.  Camping will be $9/party/night. Definition of a party is here (http://wlapwww.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/fees/party_size_table_2004.pdf)

As with any Island4x4 event, there is a zero tolerance policy in place in regards to alcohol and drugs on the trail, that includes drivers AND passengers.

Well for those of you who can't make it this year, start planning for next year. ZOTR has been traditionally held mid-Oct. So I think that is Oct.13th-15th next year.

We'd love to have some out of towners come. In fact that is one of the main reasons for having these types of events, to make new friends in different areas.

Hope you can make it next year Wild.  8)

7 days til regi closes and I have 28 trucks signed up.

However, all the trucks are either from the Island or from Vancouver.  Would love to get some out-of-towners signed up!!

Drive north to Vancouver.  Get on the ferry at Tswwassen (spelling?) It takes you over to Vancouver Island.  Once there you would follow the directions I'll give everyone a few days before the event.  From the ferry, it'll be about a 2 hr drive.


Today is the second last day for registration and I still have3 spots open.  Any takers??
