Title: Anyone know of ORV parks in the SE
Post by: Hawklin on April 24, 2005, 01:47:56 PM
Just curious, I just started seriously offroading this past year and other than the occasional mudhole near here (Columbus MS) the closest ORV park that I know of is grayrock just north of B'ham, Al but its an hour and a half away. I was just hoping there are some other wheelers down here that has some more info, I've done some searches but not much luck. Thanks for any info anyone can give.

Here are a few that I have been too:

Beasley Knob (NE Georga)
Tellico Plains (SW North Cariolna)
Windrock (Middle TN)
Superwinch (AK)

There are many other local riding areas and private parks everywhere. Your best bet to finding local riding areas is to go to www.swfda.org and find a local club to get involved with.

Is that the right URL? It sent me to a horse website, was hoping for club that delt with hmm newer 4x4's  ;) If your near Ala might want to check into Grayrockorv.com they are having a superlift(i think its superlift)  sponsered event the first weekend in June. I've been twice and its alot of fun im trying to ready my Tracker for it now, seeing my wife has banned my Toy since I hit a little thing called a tree, go figure.

Hey Zig, how'd you like Windrock/Coal Creek?

Been thinking about a trip up to there.....sounds pretty cool since they have so many mile (100 or so) of trails..

Hey Wolf, It is an awesome place to ride. You can go out and ride any level of trail you want, all well marked and you can even buy maps at the pay station. It is well worth the trip. Just try to plan a full weekend so you can try out a bunch of the trails around the park.
