is anyone wanting to go to reiter on the 20th im getting tired of these toy boys saying we zuks cant make it like to see what it is all about
-
I can't that weekend. Plus, I'm not that familiar to lead on a trail.
Check at www.snort4x4.com ... usually someone posts up a group going to reiter every weekend.
-
yea that is who im going with thats who is telling me i cant make it but ive read in post that some of you guys have been up there
-
We get that same shit here too. The last two times I was on Slick Rock in Tellico I was lucky enough to have a line of ass holes (oops I meant Toy Drivers) behind me. They were Making MANY comments on how I should not even be there. Funny how BOTH times I made it further than their trail leader before pulling a winch.
If you want to ride something ignore what the others say and go have a good time.

So that was you over there. What ever happened to that thread, did it turn into a giant hate fest? I haven't been on-line much the last week, so I'm behind with the on-line talk. ;D The Snort forums have a lot of smack talk during the winter/spring months when the posers aren't out wheeling. I wouldn't worry about it. The Snort crew and most of the regulars are pretty cool. Especially out on the trail.
I could join you next weekend, but this weekend I have the front end pulled apart. If you have lockers, 4:1 and 31" tires with good sidewalls and can flex a little you can run almost everything up there.
-
So when are all of us gonna get together have a trail run and some BS'n here in Snohomish county?
-
well what we all need to do is have a zuk fest someone needs to set a time and day and everyone should go
-
Look two threads down ;D
-
The run in Oregon? :D
Did you make it up to Reiter yesterday?
-
well went to reiter to day i have one thing to say those yota guys are rude there doing 40 up some of the roads kicking up rocks and dirt i had 1 guy run me off the road to pass me i was going about 15 enjoing the sun getting the feel of things when this white yota came up on my butt and rode it then passed me on a tight corner cant beleve those guys meet a few that were a$$ holes some were nice seen one helping out a zuk with a broken tie rod the others sucked
-
It's a shame you ran into that. One of the problem with Reiter I suppose, you can pull the asshats. I don't spend much time down there and usually run with a group that I know when I do so it's probably a different experience. Maybe go during the week when the toy boys are in school? ;D
How did the Zuk do?
-
well i put a holly on it to get rid of the stock carb to much crap onit. and it ran great except on the hills going up some of the stuff the floats are to high would spill gas in the carb . as for the snort site its not me thinking about going back to reiter just not with the same guys any takers got to work out some bugs
-
I would be up for going on March 6th. I might be able to make this weekend to, but no promises so scheduling next week would work better.
-
March 6th might work for me too ...
-
lets meet on the 6th name a time and place
-
Can I come? You guys are talking about Reiter Trail right? I have a couple of guys who may be interested in it too. Don't worry, they drive Zuks.
-
Sounds good to me. Reiter parking lot at 10, leave at 10:30?
If we have to many rigs we can always break into two groups as well. :)
-
Sounds good to me ...
Kris, you trail lead?
(I'd like to spend some time searching for that camera card of yours too).
-
we can always break into two groups as well.  :)
LOL ... the "I need jumper cables group", and the "I can wheel without overheating group" right?
-
10:00-10:30? ???Do you guys plan on wheeling or posing? March 6th is a Sunday, I would like to get some wheeling in before the sun sets. How about ready to hit the trails at 9? Air down, hubs locked, sandwich in the oven, some water in the fridge, ready to go.
Sorry, I like to get going early. I've spent way to many late afternoons and evenings fixing other peoples rigs and getting them off the trail.
-
LOL ... the "I need jumper cables group", and the "I can wheel without overheating group" right?
Well, in either case it should be easier to pull this group out through the creek when we are done. :D
Either I will lead or a club member that knows the area well.
I can do a 9:00 start time. I just suggested 10 as that was the start time from the last trip down there. Does that work for you Rob?
-
9am is fine with me
-
9am is okay someone will need to be the leader
-
What trails do you want to do? Lake Isabell (sp?), Sack up, Index wall, Power line? Those are the major ones. There are some others but not sure where they are or they are short little runs.
I may or may not make it. :-[ Have someone coming over to look (maybe buy) my axles. I will let you guys know though.
-
We have a trail leader that knows the area. We can get to just about everything except Cable Trail, as I have no idea where that is. ;D
9:00 is the target time in the Reiter parking lot. Make sure to bring lunch and water.
-
I'm trying to decide if I also wanna wheel saturday at evans now :)

Sorry guys, I will not be able to make it. Sold my axles, tires and wheels last night. Now I have to come up with something new. Thanks tho.
Have fun!
-
I have a set of axels sitting at my place. Already have the SOA setup on them. ;D
Rob, do both. :P Either way I'll be up there with one other Zuk on Sunday.
Zuk1, you still good to go?
-
I'm thinking of going with Toyota axles. Want something that can hold a bigger tire. Thanks tho.
Jay
-
Rob, do both.  :P ÂÂ
Right now, that's the plan! (unless the unthinkable happens and I break my s**t).
-
il be there
-
Cool cool. I'll have the Red full sized, on Channel 4. Should be easy to find.
I just finished up the work on the SJ tonight, so hopefully nothing will fall apart. ;D
Picture worth 2.5 words. (http://www.dttm.net/files/014.JPG)
-
I'm going to make it, but might make an early day of it ...
(Evans was a friggin blast ...)
-
Fun little trip. Steve, the other Sammy on the trip, broke part of his spring pack coming back down so we had to call it an early day. But it was a beautiful day out.
On a bonus I got to see Rob's newest mods in action. That tracker is going to be unstopable. ;D
Missed you up there Zuki1. I'll post next time we are going out though. :)
-
Took a while, but the trac got to the top of isabelle. Got hung up many many times after the bridge mostly because of no front locker.
-
hopefully I'll be getting a samurai ASAP ;D, so maybe we can get another Reiter session going.
-
has anyone ever been to lake isabel back there? i have looked at maps and it looks like the trail ends befro you can get there. not that i think that would be a problem in a sami ;D
-
It is about a mile or so hike. Not sure I want to leave the Sami alone for that long, at least not in that area. May not have to much Sami left when you get back.
-
I've never hiked it, supposedly a few people have. I think there is another trail that you can take in if you have a bike but I'm not to familiar with the area. This map shows it pretty well.
