Title: rear load sensing proportioning valve
Post by: chrisvitarasport94 on May 04, 2005, 07:25:27 PM
finally got around to fitting my simple 2" rear Diff spacer block today, per the Brazilian guy's design.

unfortunately my driveway slopes, and after disconnecting the stock bolts, the diff rotated against the propshaft. I was expecting and had prepared for this and so had to chock the car and jack up the chassis to get room to insert the block, then jack the diff input collar (with a wooden block!) to get the right angle again.

all went together fine, 10mmx8.8 bolts, 3|removethispart|@ 80mm & 1 |removethispart|@ 70mm.

not easy to tighten up, so I'll check it again on the level after a few miles

what else do I need to adjust now? hand/parking brake, rear brake lines? lspv?

depending on how much suspesion lift you have in the first place, you shouldn't need to adjust a single thing. even if you put in a A-Arm spacer.

if you used the design the brazilian dude did, then everything should be back to standard, ie, before the suspension lift.

you may find that you have better rear brakes now, but sometimes people dont even notice at all.

Did you slacken off and retighten the A frame mounting bolts at the chassis when you fitted the suspension lift? If so you should do it again so the bushes aren't twisted with the suspension static
