Hello, everyone.
I got myself a nice little zook, a 92 convertible kick, last year, but I lent it to my mom, who was having trouble and was without a car. I'll probably get it back soon, though, as things are getting better for her. The first thing I did was to put BFG ATs on it (they're 265/75/15, if my memory serves me well). It has a little rust, but nothing that can't be fixed. One concern: i have been wheeling a little bit with a friend who has a Lada. Man, that thing has articulation!! His is bone stock and outperforms my zook on the trails so bad I want to cry.
My question is this: My zook has almost no articulation. When I go over obstacles, it's the whole truck that moves, not just the wheels. It's as though I have no suspension at all and the axles are attached directly to the frame! Is this a common problem? I wonder if the Calmini 2 or 3" suspension lift would fix my problem or if there is something wrong with my truck.
Thanks for the input. 8)

What you are experiencing is pretty normal. The front springs are real stiff - take out your sway bar and you will hardly notice any difference! So take it out. The calmini kit will definitely help. Your rear suspension will be working really well but it is let down by the front end - get some standard rear springs and throw them in the front ( they are heaps softer ), you will compromise the handling though - you have been warned. Let me know how you get on.
