Title: Anyone attached tow hooks to frame?
Post by: keith on May 02, 2005, 02:18:28 AM
I have read the threads about the stock tow loops and the threads about putting beefy ones on welded bumpers.  Has anyone bolted a tow hook directly to the frame of a trackick?

the metal on the kicks frame is thin, you would have to sleeve it and use big washers to keep the bolts from taring though.

If the frame is thin then what else is there to attach a tow hook to?

Oh, I suppose you could hook it to the Throckmorton Valve Bracket.

You could use this like I did,
cap the frame and weld a D-ring
onto the plate

Throckmorton Valve Bracket, please, everyone
knows those won't hold a tow point  ;)
