I'm actually thinking about lifting my 99 Tracker. :o ;D
What would be the cheapest way of doing it?

Making your own body lift and coil spacers... That would be the cheapest way of doing it...

well.....what's best choice for 2" coil spacers? i'm hearing deldana is gone. so what is the next best thing? i'm guessing bored out TJ spacers....that sound right?
and if i do use the 2 inch spacers, and then flip the front strut mount. what is the best method to even out the lift in the back? since the front will now be roughly 3 inches and the rear only 2.
it's this how do i lift the back end conumdrum that's been plaugeing my lift for the last year. i'm not looking for maximum articulation or anything fancy. i just want it lifted, and a stock like ride for daily driving. and i hate body lifting because i love my bumpers too much.

Hide a couple cinder-blocks under the hood somewhere? :-/
Actually if your Tracker has a saggy front end, using 1-1/2" in both ends seems to level the truck out pretty nice, but if your Tracker is sitting level stock, I would say use a pair of 1-1/2" spacers in the front and a pair of 2" spacers in the rear. That should be close enough...

Where could I find a bodylift for cheap?
Can I make one and still be leagal?
What would I need to change if I put on a 2" bodylift?
-
You might see if this will work.

bored out 1.75" spacers worked well for me (leveled it out) ... use or lose the factory isolators as you need to get level.
As to body lift. a $100 or so kit get's you most of the parts (spacers, extension bolts). can use hockey pucks for 1" ... box tube for 2+" (get beefy box tube tho).

Check under the XL7 section of Zukiworld. Nomaad did an install using a 2" bl from Rocky Road (first time tester). RR hasn't made the kit available as there are some little details which need to be made. Do note: those 2 mid-body mount studs have to rise atlast 2" above the frame mount to get the spacer underneath. That's a lot of tilting the body. Nomaad did and didn't have a problem, but do note it!!! He did a great job noting what he had to do. There is a link, look for it there.
There isn't much you can do to lift the Vitara model easily. The upper strut mounts are quite different than the previous Trackick model. You could add the Jeep or Suzuki coil spacers, then add the Crown Victoria shock to the rear (I've added a stock XJ gas shock). Do the same to the front, but then you have to contend with the strut length. Adding a body lift should be easier, but... note previous statements.
