Hey wolf66, I can tell where you probably were from the "forest" you are in. I was out Friday afternoon, probably south of you in one of the central FL WMA's. It was so dry that the stream bed I normally have to go slow through with water up to my bumpers was dry stream bed! I felt like I was rock crawlin! (There is a bed of rocks where we ford the stream and now I know what they look like) If I knew how to post pics I would throw some in from where I was. Temp was 85, nice sunny afternoon, good breeze. It doesnt get any better than that!
Question? Is that winch strong enough to pull you out of sticky stuff? Do you have to double back the line to get advantage? I'm thinking of a small one for my tracker mostly for getting out of typical florida wet ruts! Any opinion?
PS. Looks like you had a blast! and the truck looks tough!

yeah our day started out dry and dusty but then it poured rain for awhile and we had some good mud and water crossings...forgot to put my floor pan body plugs back in from last time i hosed her out, went through a long waist high puddle and had 2 water fountains under my front floor mats.....lol
Bought the winch for $89 on Ebay, it gives 2,000lbs of pull, I run it back through a block for 4,000lbs of pull, it has got me unstuck about 3-4 times. The one time it stalled out i broke out the come-along that i also carry and between the both of them got unstuck.
