I was thinkin of getting the SUMMOII but I recently heard some bad reviews and Im not sure if that Cam will like the Turbo Im putting on. ;D
-
I was thinkin and heard the same things about the sumoII
-
Turbo motors overcome small ports,
the bottom end, before the turbo spools
up will be stronger, but you would gain
more top end with the SumoII
Trade offs, life of building an engine

Has anyone ever tried the Imported 16v engines from japan?
there is a company that sells them on ebay for a flat $585 plus shipping......for a 1.6 l 16valve kick motor.
That seems kind of cheap......

Hmm, well, my Kick came with the 1.6/16 - in fact ALL my Kicks came with the 1.6/16 except my 91 4-door. It's a HUGE improvement over the 8-valve!

We got an engine imported from Japan for my wife's 89 toyota Tercel. It ran much better until someone stole the car a year later. :-[

But how much is shipping,,,,,,I would think that would kill the deal.

The shipping is from Philly, and ranges from 150-350 according to their ad. They allow local pick up and will discuss local drop off. the engines have 20-50k miles is the claim.
I was looking into the perfomance header, ignition, filter thing for my 1.3 but for about the same money i could get one of these engines shipped to me, then i guess i would spend a bundle looking for other parts to make it a successful swap
-
Whoa,,,Im in philly every day. Where's this ad? When I get this T3 thing running right I want to have a fresh engine ready to swap in, once its tuned.
Oyea, Wild,,,,I just got the MS yesterday. It doesn't look that bad.

Ya, a couple of nights soldering and it will be done,
use the online manual to assemble it, and do all the
tests along the way as you build, this way if there is
a problem, you will know it right away, as well know
where to look for the problem.
Practice your soldering before you start on the MS
and get a small soldering iron to work with, much
easier when working on those small joints and in
tight spots
Did you get the Digi-key order yet ? I would order
it all from them on the auto order system
