Title: 92 EFI Samurai misses at low RPM
Post by: slade11_98 on April 19, 2005, 02:11:48 AM
I have a 92 Fuel Injected Sami that is only used for off-road. When I ride slowly through the trails it starts to load up and miss so I have to rev it up for a little bit and it will clear up as long as I keep my RPMs up, but when riding at high speeds it doesnt miss at all. I have changed the oxygen sensor, fuel filter, sparkplugs, air filter, cut the cat. converter off, and changed the timing. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Slade

When it does it what colour are the plugs?  Could it be running rich due to a duff coolant sensor?

I have 91 EFI sammi, mine did something similar, not as bad though. Change the Dist. Cap and rotor, It helped clear my truck up. Then Make It Hert like we do!!

Ya mine does the same thing, my thermostat stuck wide open so it runs too cold and I have been messing with my tps adjustment trying to get my Idle down and it seems to have a big affect on stumble just off idle, I also don't like platinum plugs they seem to run bad in mine, It all started when I put prolong in the oil and my open loop rpms came up to 1800 from 1000 so it helped loosen things up a bit and more h.p. also, I'm hoping when they switch back to summer fuel my mileage will go up even more.
