Title: Hard starts when hot
Post by: Mikerpm4x4 on April 14, 2005, 03:29:13 PM
My sisters 93 8 valve tracker starts great when its cold but when its hot it takes several cranks to fire. But then it runs great. Any Ideas?

Hmmm... possibly clogged gas tank vent lines causing a vapor lock situation, bad engine ground connection, dirty air filter or possibly a defective pick up coil in the distributor...

could be your tps or your touching the gas pedal while cranking.

Does it smell flooded or rich
when it fires up ???

Bad coolant temp sender or
intake air temp sender could
be telling the computer the engine
is cold, and needs more fuel
