Title: Cruise Control/Power Windows/Power Locks?
Post by: wickedclown420 on April 12, 2005, 12:25:04 PM
I've got a 2-door '90 Sidekick with a stick shift. I was thinking about putting cruise control, power windows, and power locks in it.

Would it be possible to have a cruise control system in a car with a stick shift?

If so, what would be a good one to get and where could I get it? (preferably online)

Also, could you reccomend me a good site to get a set of power windows and power door locks?

Go see a Car Audio Sales/Installation shop in your area, most places like that can get the stuff your looking for.
BTW - Most power window kits are slower than a factory unit, power locks is easy, I did it myself with aftermarket actuators and installed it with my remote starter, it all works together.

I had an old Toyo Corona with a 5-speed cruise control combination.    It was a pain in the rear to use because i had to remember to turn off the cruise before depressing the clutch or the engine would rev to redline before i could find the poorly located cruise controls on the center console behind the stick.

Yes you can upgrade your Kick to have CC. Call Hawk Strictly Suzuki at 1-888-SAMURAI. Rick can hook you up with everything you need for the CC, PS and PDL.

I put the AudioVox cruise control from AutoZone in my 95 Tracker and it works fine. I can't remember if there was an extra switch for the clutch pedal.  But any type of switch hooked to the clutch pedal and also connected to the brake pedal disconnect should work.

I have all that in my 4 door and it all works fine! When you push the clutch in it cancels the cruise.

cruise control, power windows, and power locks...are all stuff to break while/while not wheeling, nor do they make your Zuk more capable.

dont know aabout your cruise control i know u can put it in  but depending on where you are and if u havent already done the swap my 89 kick 2 dr has pwr windows and door locks so if u want to do a door switch and the wiring harness part of it  we could probably do something along those means
