Title: Crusty  The Beater Tracker on 34's
Post by: whitfield on April 12, 2005, 04:57:19 AM
This tracker came down to Zuwharrie this past weekend with Sean DeVinny (Aftermarket4x4) and company.  I didn't get to see it in action, But I hear that he and Drew were both fighting over who was gonna have to drive the sammy.  His sammy is competition built and jumped Tough truck and Crawled regularly.

This CHEAP Beater Tracker rocked.

We took this Tracker to Zuwharrie last weekend and had a blast!

Sean (BEAT IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT FROM YOUR REDNECK NEIGHBOR THAT"S CHASING YOU WITH A SHOTGUN IN A 600HP Orange Datsun King Cab ON Rockwells with 49" IROCK's!!!!!!) DeVinney

It began life at the Devin Co. facility as a running but rusty (nearly unusable) parts truck.  But because it ran and Drew needed a ride,  Crusty Was borne.   Last i heard it was just gonna be stock with some mild fender mods on 31" Swampers.   I was awstruck when it showed up with a flat fender style cut 2" body lift and 34' TSL's.

That is one cool beater budget rig...

Any more on the story of the Jump, or RTI ramp incident?   Whis I was around it to see more first hand.   Cool stuff....

Any more pics or specs please post here.   I can't wait to see the shots of it on Kodack...

Pretty cool, but that is definately more than a 2" body lift... Looks like at least 3...

SPECS are:
2000 4-door Vitara/Tracker coil springs (approx 2" suspension lift)
3" body lift
LOTS AND LOTS of fender trimming and work with a sawzall and a BFH (A.K.A. Virtual Lift)
34X9.50 Swampers on 2" backspaced wheels
Welded rear
3" gas tank lift
Stock 1.6 8 valve, 5-speed tranny, T-case, stock 5.12 diff gears
And a conglomeration of parts found laying around the shop to keep it together

Yep you are correct.  I guessed 2" because i know that Sean uses a 3" block on the front with no bushing when he installs a 2" kit.   Seeing the 3" block i figured it was anotehr 2" kit.

Pretty cool stuff...kind of sounds like me, I'm always just slapping something together for an event. lol

Is it just me or are those rims too wide for those tires?

I think it just apears that way cause they are reverse offset.
