WE all know the limited range of the backpack sized gas tank on the trackick. Does anyone know what the laws are in canada about transporting fuel in jerry cans strapped to the back of your truck? It sounds quite illegal as far as on-road use goes but does anyone know for sure? Also anyone have any good ideas for a jerry can holder, I wish the rear gate handle wasn't right above the license plate, that would be a good spot for a gas can. post pics of your solution

Someone in another thread had mentioned a 2.5 gal Gerry can that was a scaled down version of the 5 gal. I'm very interested in this and would love to get one for my Tracker. Does anyone know where I could find one of these 2.5 gal steel gerry cans and maybe the mounting rack for it?
I plan on shaving off the rear gate handle, replacing it with a small pull-rod to open the gate and mounting the gerry can just to the left of the spare tire. Then I would mount my plate to the gerry can rack...
