Title: Mike Hagen:  Changing Tire Loyalty?
Post by: Bobzooki on June 30, 2005, 09:49:02 AM
Mike, do I remember correctly, that you recently had a change of heart on your preference of tire brands and models on your Tracker?

I thought I read (before Moab, I think) that you had changed your preference.  Am I remembering right?  And if so, what's your new favorite (that I can actually purchase)?

Thx
Bob

I saw some knockoff Krawlers at
the vendor section when I was at
the Tierra Del Sol Safari

Didn't look at the sizes tho

So THAT's an argument for going to 35's rather than 33's...

Do those Krawlers do well in the mud?

Excellent in mud, sand, rock, ... Theres really no downside except price and possibly noise ::) ;D I consider the noise one of the benifits! ;)

How heavy are crawlers... or how do they compare to similarly sized TSLs?

35 Krawlers weigh 79lbs each.

Noise? They are no where near as loud as my old 35 Boggers. I can actually hear my exhaust now with the Krawlers ;D
