Hey George,
Did you ever get the new springs from Calmini?
OME has come out with a set specifically for our truck. I will be fitting some on from RRO soon. I'm hopeing I will see what 2" of lift actually looks like on my truck. I'll let ya know how it goes. We finally got some XLs around town and I went to the local Walmart tonight and did some measuring. I am in the same boat as you. I have the 2" body lift and I can only figure about 3" of difference from stock. That was a $1000 for an inch! Oh well, live and learn I guess. :-/

Well the replacement springs have sagged even more >:( So got new 3" lift springs form VTTR . Will hopefully be putting them on this weekend if the wife does not have me doing yard work. ::) Will post pics and numbers of before and after. I can say that the new spring are not as tall as the Calmini ones but they do have a much higher spring rate :) So we will see.....

Still a newbie, who is VTTR?
-
Well got the new springs on and WOW what difference. The ride hieght before was from ground to top of wheelwell was about 35" I now have about 37" or just about 2 3/4 total lift. ;D We will have to see how these springs hold up. I good feelings about these spring after comparing them to the Calmini ones I had much heaver and thicker.

If you have a measurement I may be able to tell you which ones they are.
-
By numbers you mean 12 3/4 high? (Their is a ruler in the pics too ::) ) After thinking about it I would have to say that they are Sidekick ones because at the time RRO had nothing for GV's. But still thats a guess.

Yeah, yeah :P Just making sure ;D
At that measurement I would have thought that they be OME#962's which are for the GV with an extra 36 - 75 kg hanging on the front.

Hey George,
Do you remember if your spindle ball joint is mounted turned down or up? And under or over the A-arm?
Thanks.

Any update? Or completed shots? I'm selling the Jeep and building the XL7. Wanna do 2" springs, 2" body, 245/75-16's, snorkel, and a safari rack so we can take the dog on vacation this summer (he'll be riding inside).
Also how was the purchase experience from VTTR? Always a bit leary about ordering from outside N/A with the exception of Aussi, England, NZ...

I ordered a few things from VTTR. Very nice, I will be fitting the snorkel soon. It costme exactly 202,48€. We were a large group buyin stuff, so we saved a lot on shipping. Quality seems very good too.
