Post by: quintana27 on November 22, 2004, 03:21:02 AM
I'm haveing the hardest time finding a Air Filter or a intake and the dealer is telling me they will not have any for 3 weeks. Does any one have any suggestion?

Thanks,
Ruben

I know how you feel, when I bought my
Kick, it was a new model, (89') and nobody
had anything for them, I paid $30 for
a paper air filter  :P  but the dealer wanted
$50, and when the brakes (front) wore out
nobody had those either, and the dealer
wanted $600  :o, I said not I don't want them
installed, just the parts, he said that is just
the parts  :o :o :o

Luck for me I had a friend with a brake shop,
he let me turn the rotors and got the pads
for $30

I would say wait for the 3 weeks, I mean
it's a 2004 not like you have over 60,000
miles on it, and it will be fine for a few weeks

Good Luck

Take a look for a drop in K&N filter. I got a pair off Ebay for $25 shipped.
You can pick up a K&N filter at many supply stores.

Found 2 at Advance Auto parts on-line at
Purolator A35219
Fram CA8069

Notice no K&N listed, however, I have a 02 XL-7 and for the same search, I get
Purolator A35219
K&N 332155
Fram CA8069

Don't know why it's not listed as its the same numbers for Purolator and Fram for both years. I know the information is all based on how good the information/database is. Good luck.

They have them listed and I bought one, but they are for the 2003 even thought they list it for 2004. they are not shaped the same. I think  that a 2003 cold air intake would work, but I can't find one of those either.
