What would cause an 02 GV with only 58k miles to be leaking in 2 different places, an engine leak and a tranny leak. The tech said both by the "pans"??
-
What engine do you have? And what tranny?
My diesel engine lost its oil with about 2500 km, a faulty seal. It seems PSA put in a series of one layer seals. It was replaced by a 2 layer seal and it has been fine ever since. PSA now puts the 2 layer seals in standard.
Never had any trouble with the manual tranny though...

2.5 l v6 with an auto tranny.. I havent been to the dealer yet, i just wanted an idea of what i was in for.

Had an oil change lately?
Due to the locations of the 2.5's oil filter and engine crossmember it's impossible to take the filter off without getting oil all over the crossmember. I've done it twice since we got ours and both times it's been covered with oil. Last time I hosed the thing down with brake cleaner and even still it left little spots under the engine for the next couple days.
Have you crawled under the truck and checked the leaks and fluid spots? Make sure they are what you are being told.
