Title: Removel of "Fan Module" in 97 Kick
Post by: Loyal on July 19, 2005, 09:04:13 AM
I dropped into Suzuki last week to enquire about what could be gone as my fan only works on high.  They gave me a printout of the heating system and it show a fan module (Part 19 on the sheet), but it is not clear how to access it.  The guy on the counter said you can access it through the glove box.  I alos read on an earlier post that you go through the glove box.

BUT . . . the printout does not make it look that way.  It looks like I should go up under the dash near the gas pedal.  Am I looking at this wrong??

Help . . .

My 89's is accessed through removing the glove box and the plastix box that holds the blower motor, module etc.... is located behind the glove box and the radio. It's not to bad to get to, just hard to work with once you det there.

Does the "blower box" have to be removed or is there an access panel type of thing??

If the box got to be removed I assume that there are hoses and wires in a very tight space to deal with.

I dont know. I just remember reaching up in there and pulling out all the trash when we did my speaker pods and removed my sde vents. I think I could see up in there prety good just by unhooking the vent hoses running from the box.

I would see if there is a recall on it, you might get a bunch of stuff fixed for free! ford had that problem a while back and had to replace a bunch of engines for free.
