Title: help my rough idling sammi please

i have an 87 carbed 1.3 and it has been stallin out. so i changed the plugs, air filter, did a slight rebuild on the carb(jets and the big gasket in the middle and the bottom plate) there is a strong odor of fuel. Could it be my fuel pump, egr, mcv,oxy sensor or what. Anybody have any clues out there4me?

check your choke make sure its not stuck shut
