Mine is a deep drone at highway speed and an annoying lopey sounding idle. I also feel it more in the floor. They put on a large round mufler too. Is there a better stock quiet muffler to use with this setup or should I have them change to a generic oval type muffler.

I had a " quiet " muffler put on and liked it,
but I also think a 4 banger sounds like crap
with a loud muff on them

i agree with wild - i put a 2 1/4" pipe and regular muffler on our truck w/o a header and i noticed a difference in the sound and i get a bit more pull at lower rpm's. i went this route because we do alot of highway driving and the turbo muffler can resonate alot and it gets to me after a while.

WHAT ;D go with a magna flow muffler, and if its still too loud put a real short glass pack infront of the muffler, i'm thinking about doing it to mine ,my flow master is abit loud when pulling a hill or all packed full of supplies for camping.

Turbo mufflers are for turbocharged
vehicles, no really, a turbo knocks so
much of the loud exhaust tone off you
could almost run without a muff, I do
but it's a wee bit too "open" sounding,
but a turbo muffler would take that open
sound down a notch oor two to a very
nice tone, not too harsh on the ears.
Besides, here in "Greeny infested" Cal
you got to be quiet to sneak past those
