Hey guys, last night i took the tracker out and played in the mud for the first time ever!! I must say that she performed exceptionally well! Considering the street tires (205/whatever... stock streeters, ya know)... of course, i didn't get into anything very deep or wooly, because the only other person i had with me was a little kid that knew of the place we went... and it was at night, and i had never been to the place... in fact, i had never been mudding at all until last night... we went to test out the 4x4, and was only there for like 15 minutes.. but it was still awesome!! i think i'm gonna keep the "virgin mud" on it for a few days to show off..lol... i might go back this weekend, during the day, with some other friends with 4x4's, in case i get stuck or something...
If anyone is interested in trying out these trails (if you live in the area or want to drive a while), let me know, and i'll try to draw out a map of the place, and give directions to make it out there... i'll give you a fair warning though, for about the first 2 or 3 hundred feet, there is nothing but piles of trash on both sides of the trail... but after that, its fairly clean from what i could tell at night... maybe once i get to go deeper into the trails and stuff, and learn to love the place, i'll take the initiative to take a big pickup truck out there and load up all the trash and take it to the local landfill...

oh yeah, Jasper Alabama, about an hour away from birmingham (going NW)... if you're looking at a map, jasper would be in north/central AL, closer to the middle

I've had "the bug" for years, but have never been able to scratch it... i've never been able to afford my own 4x4.. and now that i've got one, i can scratch with all my might! hahaha.... still though, it is a shame that the area is ruined with trash and whatnot... but its one of the few places i know of where you can wheel without getting run off by the cops.... so i guess beggars can't be choosers
