Title: Turbocharing
Post by: 89kick on August 04, 2005, 09:11:38 PM
Hey all i'm new to the forum, but this is my question i have a turbo, and i have a 89 EFI 8-valve engine.  Basicly i need to know how much boost i can safely push(i need more power but the engine has to last a few years till i can do my upgrade a 4.3L vortec) The best way to increase Fuel Pressure, or if there is a chip for the computer to do this sort of thing... Anyways thats pretty much it.

My kick stats
6" combo lift 3" body 3" suspension
Custom 3" tube bumpers
33x12.50x15 Wild Country EXT tires
a set of 4 Aluminum Slotted mag wheels 10" wide
Fresh Rebuilt 1.6L 8-valve engine
Also i have redone the interior in 1/8 Neoprene seats embroiderd with the Suzuki "S"
I have a comp level stereo system in it those stats
Pioneer p-640 deck
4-4" pioneer speakers running around 80 watts RMS
next i have a set of Pioneer tsw-2000SPL 12's being pushed by a Rockford Fosgate 8001 amp
The amp pushes around 900 RMS :) and the system is in a closed box tucked neatly behind the rear seats.  The sytem overall hits around 140-145 dbs

Turbocharing is what happens when
you push more than 5 PSI boost with
no other fuel enrichment

That summed it up well Wild!
