after i put in the 1600 am i gonna also have to change gearing or for just general playing around can i get away with what is stock if i have to go with smaller tires say 29,30,or 31's i would go that way

Your going to need a good clutch like a dual friction around 230.00 to 300.00 bucks an adapter plate to mate the 1.6 to the stock trans (use the sammie flywheel and clutch type) and you should at least get the welded 4 to 1 transfer case gear set and put it in, about 399.00 and your all set for 31's.
