??? sounds like my front wheel berrings are about to go. what kind of noise will i be hearing, will it go away if its out of gear and coasting?
-
Mate, if you can hear them then all is not well. Jack the front and see if the wheel has excessive / any play. If they have got bad enough to hear then GET THEM FIXED - NOW!!!!
Otherwise it is going to end in :'(.
Oh yeah, where are you from so I can stay off the road for a while ;)

If the sound goes away, it's your
U-joints, sounds like a grinding when
you take off ? even moving slow ?
Wheel Bearings take some speed to
make their noise, about 20 MPH or so

I don't know, never had to change mine in 280,000 miles,
must be the Mobil1 grease I use ;)

Wheel bearing will vary pitch/sound if you hit the brakes or steer from side to side.......u-joints will stay consistent with speed.
