I'm still thinking of installing a small nitros kit on the kick has any one else done this? I think that it would work good for long sand hill climbs/ mud runs. It wouldn't work well in the rocks but would definetly be fun on the street ;D

I wouldn't do any more then about a 25-30 shot! I would normally say a 50 shot, but I think that would be a BIT much for a 1.6! :boom:

I haven't run N02 in a Suzuki but ...
Based on my experience with American Iron I have a hard time with Nitrous in anything that does have fordged pistons....that stuff can be destructive.
I you just have to do it be very careful and start out with the lowest level you can and carefully work your way up.

You might try that sneaky pete system or whatever it is called, I forget how big it is, but its not much, but I wouldn't want to run it without forged pistons myself, I have had many nitrous pops in the past...they aren't fun.

Turbo in a bottle ;D
a 25 HP shot should work with a stock setup,
I push almost double the HP on stock pistons
and it took me 25,000 miles to blow it up ::)

How many refills was that?

Hey "Wild" FWIW
I think this may be the first time our opinions differ. I wouldn't worry if he was talkin turbo boost, I agree within reason the stock pistons will stand up to that. NItrous is different, more sudden, higher tempatures, different chemistry in the combustion chamber.
I'd be very careful adding even a 25hp shot....you'd probly get away with it ok, but I'd be careful. Definitely not the route I'd go.

I just think that for the money, simple design, smog legal, HP gains, it is the logical choice for our small high reving motors. You can get a small kit for pretty cheap and install it yourself and wala 25Hp gain ;D

It's only cheap until you blow the engine tho ...

We were playing with nitrous long before it was cool, for street drags (young and stupid....do not do it) and cheating in stock cars and road racers (also dumb don't do it.....see I have done lots of dumb things...please don't repeat my mistakes).
Wiped out several well built engines. The stuff can be great in the right application with an engine built for it. But (FWIW) I think it's tougher on an engine that full time turbo-ing. It's a sudden shot..different stresses, big heat, big pressures instantly and a different burn chemistry).
You're absolutley right when you say it's not an off road kind of thing (unless there is now some kind of low flow fogger that lets it come in slowly and smoothly).
Great for Drags in a well built engine...and I am sure there are still some well versed and talented cheaters out there using it as an unfair advantage in more than one form of racing.
I'm not agianst N02, but right tool right job and my opinion is this is the wrong job for that tool.
Want strong lasting power in the 125-150 range on an 8v, talk to Wild about how he did his Turbo...check out his website. I think for the bump you want it's a better deal.
