Finally, the 16V is in the LawDog.  Thanks mostly to the constant efforts of Real_Red_Wagon and RealRedSammi.  Thanks guys.  I was at work alot during the course of the buildup, so they carried the LMS torch.  Now that it's in, and you saw Real_Red_Wagon's post about my hood not closing, we were considering a body lift.  That would get the hood to shut and stop the 33's from rubbing.  But, the timeframe to Zuwharrie is short.  The body lift would require lengthening the shifters and steering.  Does anyone know of a quick solution to this.  We've still gotta put the lift springs in the RealRedSammi (almost done) and wrench on the Real_Red_Wagon before Zuwharrie and we may run short on time.  Any tips/suggestions would be great.

You only need like a one inch lift not that big of a deal,there are some mods that you could do to the top of the engine also.

Big hole in the hood, and cut the F%$& out of the fenders!!

Cut the webbing inside the hood. It worked for me ;)

I have heard you don't need to do anything for the hood hitting. Someone I know around here did the engine swap and said I wouldn't have to do anything.

I think NC is right about the webbing, but the other members of LMS disagree. I also want to body lift to stop rubbing of my tires too though.

We've got a buddy with a 1.6 in his Sammy and his hood closed without problem.
(no body lift either).

The Real Red Sammi has a 1.6 8v and the hood closed just fine :) however the Law Dog's is a 16v different intake the hood won't close by about 2"s :-/

I have the petro works engine mounts in mine it lowers the engine about 2 inches and the trans about the same.
