Title: Newbee Questions
Post by: MYJL on August 18, 2005, 02:55:52 PM
I bought a 1990 samurai that I am currently working on and was just wondering what the differences in the different trim packages were? What makes a JL different from a JA?

I'm not sure about the differences, but the JL is a
higher trim package than a JA, top is the JLX, but
again I don't know if that was offered in a Sammy,
it was offered in a SideKick, which is what I had to
get to have the Auto Trans (for the wife)  but I love
wheeling the auto anyway

Dash and tachometer are the biggest differences I've seen.

Yeah, the tach, the radio, dealer installed AC, and a factory bull bar came into play as well.  I think your JX came with the standard JA equip plus a tach, radio, and maybe graphics.  A JLX would add that bull bar and a back seat, and maybe that rare and elusive "chrome package"
