Iv'e read previous posts about putting seats in Trackers.  I'm looking for ideas and opinions on getting the best seat for the money to replace my standard uncomfortable non supporting drivers seat.
I have seen aftermarket seats on several of the sponsors sites and Ebay and other non sponsor sites. ÂÂ
I see seats all the time for good prices then read the fine print and they add additional stuff like special brackets and sliders that jack the price up.
Anyone know if there is a good firm, adjustable seat that fits the sliders/ mounts that are in the Truck and is a good price (like under $200) ?????
Anyone have experience or tips for finding and putting in a good seat?
Any warnings or rip-offs to watch out for???

If your a little handy with steel everything will fit in. You just have to adapt the stock rail a little bit. By for example putting a few bars on it to support the seat right. You even can bolt this on so there's no welding needed. ;D

Are you looking for something like an aftermarket bucket racing seat?  Or are you considering swapping out of another vehicle like me as well?

thanks for the tips. to LawDog I am open to aftermarket or swap from different vehicle. I hear that Neon seats are a perfect swap but I wonder how good they are?
I'm looking for real firm with side support. I like reclining style over fixed or bucket style.

I have Toyota MR2 seats.  Those might be hard to find.  you might wanna look for an 85-87 Cavalier RS.  I had a few of those cars.  The seats were a perfect wheelin' swap into a '78 fullsize.

To Chief:
I checked out the link to Summit. I have seen those APC brand sport seats or ones just like them all over the internet at a variety of sites. That style of sport seat seems pretty common on Ebay etc. They seem to have real good prices but I wonder if anyone has had any experience with their quality, body support, durability, etc. and how they install?

www.corbeau.com and like someone else said... weld your own brackets.

well it depends on the style of seats you have now. there are two style for these rigs. the basic model has high back style, and the lsi has the low back which look nicer but i'm not sure there much better. i've asked this question a while back but didn't get a good answer. if they are better and more comfortable then it's a bolt in swap.

ive got the lsi seats and to tell u the truth they pretty comfortable...ive got no complaints with them... and believe me my butt has spent much time in the lol

My 90 Camaro had the same seats as a Cavalier. I liked them alot. They were very comfortable and supportive.
