Title: Exhaust Questions ??

ok i want to ask a couple of questions concerning a exhaust upgrade.

is there a performance difference between 2", 2-1/4", or 2-1/2" systems ? this is from the header to tailpipe including the cat.

does this type of upgrade effect the emission readings ?

and lastly can it be made as quiet as stock ?

with a small engine like in our trucks you will notice a difference going to a 2" system front to the back - going to a 2-1/2" you would not notice the difference over the 2" system - the engine does not move enough air to need a 2-1/2 system. you can try and find a free flow muffler that is not as loud as a turbo muffler. as long as you keep your cat it wont change the emissions (for aircare?)
