Title: toyota drivetrain in a sidekick?
Post by: chet on March 24, 2005, 03:38:51 AM
I have been weighing the options of motors etc. once mine packs it in  ;D

Has anyone dropped a toyota 22re, trans, tcase in? After around '89 they had 116HP new and gobs of torque. Also in my 4 door I could go dual tcases!

Any thoughts?  8)

Do it! Something I've pondered doing down the road sometime. since I'm divorce mounting a sammi case behind a 2wd tracker tranny, when this 1.6 goes, then I'll smap in, um, SOMETHING!

Maybe a 3.8 out of a mustang with the tranny.  8)
