yep, go by the round or square vents.  Don't go by the mfr. date on the vin tag.  I've seen 2 Samurai's with build dates of 2/88 and 5/88 and they were both square vents (88.5s). go figure????

Click on Tech Specs at the top of this forum page to go to an index of Suzuki vehicle specs including one with a comprehensive list of changeover items for the 88/88.5 Samurai.
