Info needed
I was wondering whats the differance in a 12 and 10 bolt carrier. I may get some 5.83 inthe carrier, but the came out of a 1992.
I wanted to know if they would fit in my tracker if i just put the whole 3rd member in from the 92, into my 95 2 door, 5 speed.
I dont know what i have in my tracker weather they are 10 or 12 bolt.
Any help would be great, Thanks

Yes, bolt it in, your 95 should have a 12 bolt carrier, but if you
remove the gears for a reinstall, they will have to be setup again,
and you don't want to do that, 10 or 12 bolt, it doesn't matter,
just bolt in that 3rd and be happy you got the 5.83s for big tires
;D

Wild,
Wouldn't a '92 be a 12 bolt anyway ? I though that only '89 and some early '90's had 10 bolts ?
I have a '89 Jap built Escudo, I'll have to pull the third and see if they were 10's in them also as the Japs follow no rhyme nor reason in their own stuff.ÂÂ

Could be, I was thinking the 12 bolt
started with the 16V engine.

You could be right with the Trac/Kick's there being as they didn't get 16V's for some time.
My '92 Escudo I had was a 16V, Escudo's had 16V's from Mid '92 onwards :)
