The only Superchargers I know of that
would have made it to the wrecking yards
are from a 3.0L engine, you would have
to spin it at half speed to keep the boost
down.  Look for an SC Thunderbird or some
of the Lincolns perhaps. Do your homework
Superchargers are a lower boost device, not
happy over 5 PSI, and stock pistons can't take
over 5 PSI.

I'm getting custom pistons made, forged, low
compression, about $600 with pins and rings,
if you are looking for more power than 5PSI
will give you (about a 30-35HP jump) you might
think about a turbo instead

Good Luck

I read that a supercharger for low speed torque and a turbo is for higher speed and there is a and the boost with a turbo has a lag. I need more power
thanks

Yes and no. A well matched Turbocharger will have
very litle lag, yet boost to 10 PSI, which is about 150
HP on an 8V 1.6L Suzuki Engine.

For more info on Turbocharging a SideKick see

I've been all over the debate, and done quite a bit of
studying, and yes there are advantages to both systems,
but overall, bang for the buck, with little HP draw, a turbo
is really the way to go.

Doggone it!  I KNOW that Raven Rotorcraft have developed a Supercharger for the 1.6L 16 valve engine, but they aren't giving up any info, or offering to sell them!

I'm still working on them though!

If you need more power why not just drop a vortech 4.3 in it?

Power to weight ratio, cost  and tight fit are the things I thought about. Several years ago I bought the last Supercharger to come from Camden in TX. Kind of like the idea of the turbo power gains. Worth looking into.
