Title: Anyone Wheelin out of Seattle this Sunday?
Post by: crikeymike on September 09, 2005, 09:07:45 PM
I wanna get out somewhere this sunday, but i ain't got anyone to wheel with.  I've searched a few of the regular boards i look at and can't find any trips listed this weekend.

My sidekick is finally runnin good and lookin for some trails to hit...

Email me at crikeymike|removethispart|@comcast.net if anyone knows anything anywhere this Sunday the 11th.

Got no lockers, and no winch, but i'll give whatever a go.  Time to put this thing hard into the hills.

I really wanna go up there, but with someone who knows the area.  I need to get up there before it starts snowing, cause i hear it's not so easy once that snow starts falling.

Come back down and we'll do it this sunday!!!

I'd love to go but my rig is in pieces in my garage at the moment.
just down load a trail map and look at derekj's post about going there to find out the trails you should be able to do.

In case anyone else feels the urge to get out away from the house tomorrow, i'll be meeting up in the 2nd parking lot at evans at 930am with Sno.  Should be a fun day.

A locker wouldn't have hurt me, that's for sure.  Broke traction several thousand times.

Had a good day.  I still can't recall the trail numbers, but i'm sure sno can.

Had a few minor rubs with some roots, but nothing major.  I did balance on my pass. side mirror for a second on a stump, but luckily i backed away from it just in time before it popped off.

I really want rocker protection.  Hit the plastic panels numerous times and thought i'd smacked the rockers pretty good, but it seems that there was no damage.

I'll be looking forward to going back there.  I can't see how anything larger than a 4 door sidekick can fit thru there (anything wider)......

We ran 311 (both parts), circled around, went up 102, and then from there went up 198 to the Y, and then came back down.

It was pretty slick up there, but for being unlocked, mike and his rig didn't have too many problems (2 small tugs, one more to save the mirror). Good tires and pilot make up for a lot ;)

Here's some pics of some buddies who took a beater FS blazer a year ago ...

Let's just say it was narrowed when exiting  ;D
