Which is better? Does one offer more droop or more lift for a little better compression. How about Wrangler vs. Samurai. I know the Wrangler spring is longer and offers better flex, but is one better in that aplication. How about on-road handling? I've got 3" Trailmaster springs and the Calmini shackle reversal. I'm thinking about doing a SPOA and I will keep the setup I've got, but I'm curious about the possible future upgrades.

You could put some trail tough missing links on the rear and call it a day. or maybe get rid of the lift springs for more flex.

I have the Trailmaster 3", Calmini shackle reverse, spoa and run 33s no problem. Tires smaller than 33s look stupid with so much lift. You will need power steering and some sort of high steer set up to clear the springs. You will need more motor and or lower gears in the tcase and or diffs. You will need longer drive lines and spacers may ( will ) not be enough at full droop. I have longer cv drivelines ( Tom Wood ) which compensate for the severe drive line angles caused by so much lift.
Is this a viable set up ? Works for me but has its limits. Tippy on side hills and steep climbs but straps/winch and deadman anchors can fix that issue. It poses quite well and is easy to work under. Fat girls can't climb that high , thereby improving the tippness issue.
Not trying to scare you out of going spoa but switching the springs is only the begining ...so depending on your wheeling needs, Mrfuelish's points might be well taken.

One of my sammies has stock rear springs with an extra main leaf for axel wrap and stock shocks and stock rear springs up front with a very small add a leaf added with a longer stock type shock spring over axel,It ramped a 944 with 33's and rides good with under 20lbs air pressure on the street(I run it about 12-14 lbs on road)the ruff kit is only about 50.00 and the stock springs were about 35.00 used for the pair,I have d.s. spacers and longer brake lines and t.t. over the top steering with tracker power s. going on two years like this and have had the yj kit on the floor for over a year, A guy in the club with t.t. yj kit ramped 1016 missing links front and rear, there ya go.

can't imagine either one would work well with shackle reversal in the front.
