Title: window track insert
Post by: thedeep on September 11, 2005, 12:17:16 PM
When I roll down my driver's window, the liner follows. I don't see any clips, does it just glue in? If so, what kind of glue? I'm rustproofing the interior of the door and adding diamond plate door panels. Just need to secure the window track, first.  As always, thanks in advance for the help.

I like silicone, but I hope you never
need to get it out  :)

3M also makes a releasing agent if you need to take it out sometime down the road.

Samurai? Sidekick? If a Samurai, I'd suggest going to your local favorite junk yard and getting the window channel from a Sidekick/Tracker and installing that in your Samurai first before the ga-lue.

True...

But the Samurai felt runners are icky in comparison to the rubber Sidekick channel material. It's a nice upgrade and most junk yards will give you the 'soft stuff' like that.
