Title: Where to get a stock alternator bracket?
Post by: jerryp58 on September 11, 2005, 12:26:57 PM
Hey everyone.

It's been a long time since I've posted.
I gave my brother my '90 Geo tracker almost a year ago and he still has it up and running.

Unfortunately, the alternator bracket just broke.
I've got a couple of leads for him to follow, but thought I'd try here for ideas/comments.

Assuming replacing the existing broken bracket, alternator, etc. with a GM upgrade package (~$250) would be more expensive than a stock bracket, does anyone have any idea where he can get one?

Thanks,
Jerry

Call Hawks, have them send you a cast iron
bracker, the welded steel ones seem to
break easier.

Hey Wild you're still here, cool!

My brother tracked one down locally (I imagine it's stock).

I'll tell him about Hawk though; thanks for the tip.
