Hey everyone i think this is a differnt gearign question soo...
my problem is towing my quad, my kick absoulty sucks at towing it if i were to put lower gears in it would it tow better?? what gears would be good
i have a 5 speed if that make sa difference
-
anyone?

If you put diff gears in it (5.83s) it would lower your high range (14%) and give it a bit more peep for towing.
Lower gearing ='s more grunt ;D
How ever you can expect to use more gas as well :'(
-
what tire size are you running?

gearing and more power! cam, header, air filter will all help as well.
-
i am running 30" tires, so 5.83's? eh what do they cost what else would change if i put these in?
-
also would i notice more fo a difference towin?
-
5:83s would be great for towing but are pretty expensive. A cheaper option might be to pick up a set of stock wheels and 195 tyres, I think you would easily notice the difference. The lower height would also give you a bit more stability.
-
hhmmmm but then it would look gay ;) ;D, if i did the tires that is, what does a set of 5:83's cost?

Then you have to have them installed.

600 bucks puls shiping and another cupple hundred to set them up. really the easyer and way cheaper way would be to put some small tires on it for towing.
also would 5.83's be too low for running on the high way with only 30's???
