Title: Anyone tried this t-case swap?

So i was running thru some different ideas/options in my head the other day...

(THIS IS ONLY FOR SIDEKICKS THAT I'M REFERRING TO).

So the low range gears you can get for this t-case are like 75% lower than stock, whereas the ones for sammy's are available for 180% lower.  So since there's not a whole lot of room behind a stock tranny and t-case in a sidekick, i would think it would be possible to take that out of there, put in a 2WD tranny (making it shorter, aka more room for t-case), then cut down a rear driveshaft to create a jackshaft, then install "a transfer case" of some kind that can really cut the gears down.  I originally thought you could use a samurai t-case, but then i figured you could use any number of them with the correct offset.  Now you'd have to make a crossmember, but it wouldn't be too hard with a 2-3" body lift on there (chassis would be quite visible).

So has anyone done this, or something similar.  I've got a 4-door, so i figured there would be extra room to play with. 

Suggestions, comments, ideas.....

A few people have done this or something similar. Dave Jones had a Samuarai tcase with Rockcrawler gears but needed 35" tyres to get the gearing reasonable for road use.

A correction observation, the gears available
for the 92 and up T-case are 125% lower than
the stock low range gears 4.24:1  as compaired
to 1.8:1 stock

Good idea tho I think OTT has a setup available
that uses a Sammy T-case in a Kick
