Got a piese of steel in the garage, 18" x 38" and 3/16" thick. ALso have a bunch of 1"x1" 14 gauge square tubing in the corner. Some 3/16" L channel also.

4 mounts with the L channel welded to the frame. Weld the 1x1 to the flat stock as a sub frame, bolt to the mounts on the frame.

Can you say BEEF! I wanna get a pic of the whole kick balanced on something on the skid plate.  ;D

I got a cheepie 110V Craftsman from Sears for that I'm learning to weld with.  It's not the best, but it does do a good job for small projects.

Plus, i the future when I get better at welding and move up to a nicer set up, I'll have a small welder to take with me to some of the events I go to.

If you're looking for suggestions on welders...

I personally like my little Hobart Handler 140. Does everything I need it to do.

I used two car batteries in series with a good set of jumper cables at work for years because they were too cheap to buy one, you could not tell the diffrence.
