Post by: bashzuk on September 28, 2005, 09:36:47 PM
We should be getting to the day parking area about 9 am or so.
Thought I would put this out see if anyone is interested in going.

We are going to be getting there at 10:30 or so now since my power steering install did not go as planned.

Yea, but the carnage they suffer at evans can be entertaining ;D

I wouldn't mind getting up there after going to the cascade mud bog, but i really don't know what time i could make it up there.  there wouldn't be a good way to contact anyone either.  If anyone else is going to the cascade mud bog on sunday and wants to go wheelin afterwards, like leave at 1pm or so, let me know.  206-313-0376.

i wouldn't mind hitting the same trails at evans that the guys listed above, especially after it's been raining most of the week.

So far it is me with my 32 AT's and front and rear lockers.
my buddy in his jeep with 33's locked front and rear.

Pretty much it is a day for me to test out my power steering I'm going to install tomorrow or today rather since it is 2 am.
and for him to prove or try to prove that a 13K rig is better than a 3K rig should be entertaining.
I'm just in it for a Sunday drive.

That's about all for now.

Here is who went (fullsize pics www.reachone.com/bashams/suzuki/evanscreek/10205 )

Had a great day no breakage and not too many people out on the trails.
Started on the 311

We then did 520 to 198 and then 196 I believe to 198 to 520 and then did 520 in reverse to finish the day off.

Here are a couple of  pics of a trench on one of the 190"s

The green machine sure has grown up since I saw it last ...

How'd those old 32's do? I imagine it was plenty slick with all the rain we had lately ...

Was the jeep worth the extra $10K  ;D

We started wheeling around 11 am and quit around 4 or 4:30
For them I'm sure it was. They were  finally able to wheel  with out breaking down.
But as far as out wheeling the green meanie we both did all the same stuff.

IT WAS Very slick. the rocks at 311 I couldn't get up I had to go up a different way. Thankfully I actually have the tire size to go that way now. Went up the way that Drone did when we went sno.
I made for a great show I heard hoping up the rocks on the 311.
Was a beautiful day Not much rain at all up there only a little in the morning.

As far as the trench after seeing the guy up to his fenders in water I wasn't up for deep water crossings. so no one did the trench sorry we saw it when we got to the top of another climb.
I do have to say FRONT AND REAR LOCKERS ROCK

Today both the radiator and the clip that holds the clutch cable to the peddle puked on me.
it's a good samurai it knows to break down at home and not on the trails.
Fixed the radiator since it was just a hose problem. (I hope)
going to get the new clutch thing tomorrow.
